Insulation materials for prefabricated heating ductile iron pipes

The insulation construction process of prefabricated heating ductile iron pipes is divided into: pipe-in-pipe process and spray-wrap process.

1. Pipe-in-pipe process
Use special high-pressure injection equipment to inject the uniformly mixed polyurethane liquid raw material into the cavity between the outer protective pipe and the working pipe or pipe fittings to form an insulation structure.

2. Spray-wrap process
First, use special spray equipment to continuously spray the uniformly mixed polyurethane liquid raw material on the outer surface of the working pipe to form a continuous rigid polyurethane foam insulation layer, and then use extrusion equipment to continuously wrap the molten high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheet on the surface of the insulation layer to form a continuous and dense HDPE outer protective layer.

Ductile iron has better corrosion resistance than carbon steel. The service life of the tube is 50 years, and the service life of the steel tube is 30 years. The tube is anti-corrosive both inside and outside.
